Summary of Job:
Support the development and management of marketing data and analytics to drive deeper understanding of audiences and identify business opportunities across EmblemHealth’s family of companies.  Gather and analyze data from existing databases to help direct marketing and organizational strategic decisions.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage reporting dashboards to support marketing goals and cross-functional business needs. Create compelling data visualizations and present reporting dashboards that translate complex data sets into actionable recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establish reporting automation to unify data sources and enable seamless access to data sets to share insights collaboratively across the organization.
  • Enhance audience insights (personas, audience journeys, etc.) by synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to supplement and enhance Insights and Research team projects.
  • Partner with internal teams to help quantify marketing and communication effectiveness (ROIs) and identify areas of refinement/optimizations based on learnings.
  • Execute on geospatial analysis and audience mapping requests across enterprise companies to help define and support operational and market strategies. 
  • Act as a data steward to organize, clean, and pull available data across multiple sources and business areas to support Marketing efforts. 
  • Support Insights and Research team research projects including programming, QA’ing, and reporting on primary research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, psychology, statistics, data science or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in the practical application of research methods and data analysis to business contexts. (R)
  • Experience in supporting or directly managing qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects. (R)
  • Highly proficient in SQL query development and Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, statistical analysis) (R)
  • Experience in the analysis of marketing data using SAS with the ability to learn quickly. (R)
  • Experience conducting geospatial analysis to produce maps and other graphic displays for analysis.  (P)
  • Experience providing data driven insights for customers, markets, competitors and marketing effectiveness (KPIs) through data and analytics. (R)
  • Self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities to innovate, collaborate and realize efficiencies. (R)
  • Compelling communicator who is able to synthesize research and data into a clear, actionable business narrative. (R)
  • Excellent attention-to-detail, organization, and accountability. (R)
  • Experience building dashboards in Tableau. (P)
  • Knowledge of marketing attribution techniques. (P)
  • Experience or interest in health care. (P)
