Responsible for the development, support, and production of external communications that inform, engage, and meet regulatory requirements. 

Responsibilities:

Project Management/Production:

  • Collaborate with internal customers to develop strategic communications that meet both enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce status reports and keep track of schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure materials are produced to specifications.
  • Work with design and production teams to obtain cost estimates and ensure projects stay on budget.
  • Coordinate and oversee services provided by outside vendors such as printers and fulfillment houses.
  • Adhere to departmental and organizational procedures.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of departmental and organizational procedures, and adhere to them.    

Editorial:

  • Edit transactional and creative copy provided by internal customers to ensure all communications meet corporate branding and editorial Speak Human standards as well as meet legal and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to ensure all communications are accurate, up to date, and audience appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to identify ways to improve the relevance and impact of communications. 
  • Proofread all print and electronic copy before it goes live.
  • Coordinate data collection and release, ensuring that the data matches the original request.
  • Ensure that all communications are consistent with regulatory and accreditation requirements (NCQA, DOH, DFS, etc.)
  • From beginning to end of a project, pay relentless attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in English, Communications, Business, or related health field
  • Minimum 4-6 years of communications experience  (R)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook (R)
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing or a health-related field( R)
  • Demonstrated project management skills (R)
  • Excellent time-management skills (R)
